Is this meant to be ironic:
Spotted being worn by a hip young Twilight actor at the recent Armageddon nerdfest in Melbourne. Yes, there were lots of people in costumes from Batman, Stargate, Yu-Gi-Yoh, whatever, but these shoes are what really amazed me.
I honestly can’t tell whether they’re serious. Or how you’d operate them. And the Adidas website is about as helpful as a fox.
Kids today…
Ironic in the Alanis sense? Probably.
It is over-designed so that you can wear them tight or wear them loose, with laces tied in the traditional manner, or with laces untied in the modern ‘can’t be bothered’ manner.
Either that – or three layers of soft leather (or imitation-leather) armour for the front of your lower leg.
*I avoid ‘nerdfests’ but I’ll be at Aussiecon IV!
I don’t know about the shoe, but I agree that foxes are damned unhelpful. Except maybe Lindsay Fox, who is very helpful if you have long distance haulage needs.
Megan Fox, on the other hand, is not helpful in any circumstance. I certainly wouldn’t want to buy shoes from her.
